LA family’s guide to Washington: where to buy a house
Living on the West Coast is great for dozens of reasons. This part of the country is completely different than the Eastern part of it. There are plenty of differences when it comes to a lot of things. The climate is the first and the biggest difference. Not everyone can handle the Eastern climate. It is much colder and has much more rain and snow. The people are different as well. Housing isn’t the same at all, not even the prices. This is why a lot of LA families are moving to Washington when they decide that leaving LA is what they will be doing. And Washington is a popular moving destination for plenty of reasons. There are dozens of amazing places in this state where family-living is possible and where you will have everything you need and more. And since picking a new place to call home can be a tough thing to do, we decided to write this short article on just some of the places where to buy a house in Washington. This is where you can read everything you need to know about these places in order to decide that one of them is the perfect pick for you. So, if you were planning on relocating your family from LA to a city in Washington, this guide will help you make the right decision.

Shoreline
The first city that comes to mind when you ask us where to buy a house in Washington would surely be Shoreline. Shoreline is a town located just above Seattle. It is located in King County and it is just around 9 miles away from Downtown Seattle. You can consider this town a suburb of Seattle. It is located on the coast which is just what makes it a perfect place for owning a home, especially after living in LA which is also a coastal town. There is a beach in Shoreline so you don’t have to think about where you will be spending the hot summer days with your family.
But this is of course not the only place you can go to. Shoreline has plenty of beautiful parks. Washington state is known for having a lot of nature and parks. It is a state with plenty of forests. Shoreview Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the area. It is big and there are plenty of activities that you can do here such as jogging, cycling, having a picnic, or even just taking a walk. But these things are not what makes moving this year to Shoreline a good idea.
Housing cost in Shoreline
Housing in Shoreline is great. It isn’t on the more affordable side though. The average housing price in Shoreline would be around $650,000. This is a lot of money to pay for a home. But this is actually a very good investment to make. Shoreline is slowly becoming a part of Seattle. Seattle is growing and evolving as a lot of people are moving to Seattle and plenty of things are being built around the city. Add the fact that housing prices in Shoreline are only rising and rarely becoming lower. You can find a house here that costs even less than the average price but you have to search for a long time. But when you manage to find the perfect house that you can afford, experienced people can give you a hand with the moving process from LA to Shoreline.

Bellevue
The second best place where to buy a house in Washington has to be Bellevue. This is another city located close to Seattle. It is much bigger than Shoreline though and it has much more to offer. For starters, it is located closer to Downtown Seattle. By just crossing Lake Washington you will find yourself in the center of the city of Seattle. This is amazing for people who found a job in Seattle but don’t really want to live in the city. Bellevue is a lively city yet still very peaceful and quiet. It is a mix of both. Plenty of both elderly and young people live in Bellevue. Young people who live here are most likely here because of Bellevue College where there are a lot of students. But once you move here, you won’t want to move away.
We mentioned that there are plenty of retirees in the city as well. This is because Bellevue has plenty of things for you to do, no matter how old you are. There is a beautiful museum here where you can see and learn plenty of new things. There are plenty of parks in Bellevue as well which is just what both the elderly and people with children need. Coping with moving anxiety won’t be an issue if you move to Bellevue. We also have to mention the fact that there are a couple of medical centers here as well. No matter how old you are, knowing you have a place to go to in case you need to and be well-taken care of is very important.

Housing cost in Bellevue
Housing in Bellevue is very expensive. You can consider this to be one of the more elite cities to live in. If planning on buying a house, have in mind that the average housing price is at around $900,000. Some even say that it is more than this. Buying a home here is not something just anyone can do. But if moving to Bellevue from LA with portabox.com, you are probably already used to hearing about expensive housing since housing in LA is much more expensive than it is in Bellevue.
